The Pine State Amateur Radio Club held it's 30th Annual Hamfest on June 3rd 2017 and although started a "little" wet, turned out nicely. We also held an exam session at 9:00 A.M. - There were 9 participants and the results of new and upgrades are listed below.

Pete Bither - AI1O is the point of contact for the Pine State exam sessions, and the exam page of this website will have his contact information.

Our Exam sessions and others throughout Maine can be found on our Amateur Radio Upcoming License Exams page.

Here is a list of successful exams with the Last name, First initial -> Class before -> Class After (for upgrades and NEW) and Call sign (for new, when the list shows on the FCC website they will be put here).

Fisher, M.(None)Amateur Extra*AC1CJ
Frankenfield, J.(None)GeneralKC1HRV
Keith, M.(None)TechnicianKC1HRU

Mr. Fisher has a uncommon distinction, he took all 3 tests and passed in one session. Although he has had a license in the past (W1RKO expired in 2007), qustions change, technologies change and people do get older. So we say congratulations Mr. Fisher

Licensees can open this news item every day to find when the FCC has issued/upgraded their licenses. I look every morning, and will post the call signs here

P.S. If anyone took pictures today, please bring them to the Monday meeting (on a thumb drive please) or contact W1KMC via the Contact Us Page (email or phone)

Have a great day, and see you at HamFest 2018 on June 2nd, 2018
