The Pine State Amateur Radio Club is celebrating our 50th anniversary during 2025. During the month of November club members will be operating N1ME as a special event station. We will have a certificate available for working N1ME in October. We will be operating on CW, SSB, and perhaps digital modes. The ARRL Solar Update

Solar activity, which has been at low levels, has returned to
moderate levels. Region AR4232 produced the largest event of the
period, an impulsive M3.6 flare (R1-minor) on October 1, 2025.

An associated Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) was observed in subsequent
SOHO LASCO/C2 coronagraph imagery that began on September 29.
Analysis and modelling of the ejecta is ongoing.

Hurricane Imelda Strengthens, Threatens Bermuda

Hurricane Imelda, now a strong Category 1 storm, is forecast to make landfall on, or come extremely close to Bermuda, late Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning. The Hurricane Watch Net (HWN) will activate for the first time this season beginning Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM EDT (1900 UTC).

The ARRL Solar Update

Solar activity reached moderate levels this past week. An impulsive
M1.0 flare was observed on September 24 from Region AR4217. Slight
growth was observed in Region AR4226 with an increase in spots near
the leader. New Regions AR4229 and AR4230 were numbered this period.
All other regions were either stable or in decay. No Earth-directed
